College Eats: Skully’s Ramen

Every college student knows a good ramen dish. Buuuuuut most times, there are only two key ingredients — water and a pack of Maruchan.

If you’re ready to spice up your meal plan for the week, stop by Skully’s Ramen at the corner of Cherry and Pickwick, located only 6 minutes from campus! Their establishment is set-up like a food truck built into the side of a building that resides right in the middle of the charming Pickwick neighborhood! Next to their building they have a spacious patio with large picnic tables.

They offer chicken, pork and mushroom (vegetarian) options for their ramen bowls, packed with delicious ingredients that work so well together with the broth provided. They provide you with a fork and a deep “renege” spoon, perfect for enjoying the tasty toppings along with the flavorful broth that represents the essence of what we know and love about ramen. If you’re not feeling the traditional ramen dish, they also offer wok bowls and wings sure to satisfy any lover of Asian cuisine!

My husband and I ate at Skully’s Thursday evening. He enjoyed their chicken ramen, the “Chickwick”, while I stuck with my usual, the “Pork on Pork”. Both were more than enough to fill us up and provide left-overs for upcoming lunches!

Skully’s Ramen opened in 2017 as a food truck parked on Tampa St and now resides at 1427 E Cherry Street. Check their Instagram @skullysramen for hours and updates!
